After reading another article on in-flight refueling, I took a look through some* of the old photos dad took while he was a boom operator, and often in !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! in the early 60s. I decided to search the internet for current photos of the facility, and found a match.
*some - since the rest of them are still at mom's house, not yet scanned
This is a photo he took of the base chapel in the early 60s. Probably to mail home to his mother with a BS line of, "Look Mom, You'll be happy to know that there's even a church here!"
This is one !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! from 2009 - some 47 years later.
Where is it?
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
Now called !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , it doesn't look like it's changed much in the last 45 years.
And here's the rest of the ones I had.

Knowing how far away my dad stayed from church, it explains the distance in his photo.
